😁❤️ Well, this has been done for a week or so now, but here are the "official press photos" of my project! ⏱🤗 #imadethis --Self-made dial and rehaut in silvered brass and shellac filled, hands in hardened steel/painted, hand filed logo in steel - black polished with polished chamfers and satin edges. Round polished markers.
If you drop your watch it's likely to need a new balance staff. The repair procedure is a rather delicate one and every step will have a direct impact on the timekeeping performance of your watch. One misstep and it could mean the assembly is ruined and a replacement is necessary. Photo one: the roller has been removed already and now the old staff is to be pressed out. This step the rivet that holds it together is carefully broken out and the collet for the hairspring is removed at the same time. Photo two: the components are now separated. Note the little doughnut shaped disk, this is the old rivet that held everything together. Third photo is the balance jewel with the broken pivot being visible in the center. For a perspective of scale the broken pivot is less than a human hair in diameter. #rolex#vintagewatch#hairspring#horology#watchmaking#awci#wostep#chronometer#wis
