According to my phone, I finished this hot mat (Concord Grape Pie by Frances Hughes in Annie's Crochet Silhouette Hot Mats) on March 7, 2017. The first pic of that first mat. The second pic is of my finished hot mat from today, August 22, 2017, and I can see my growth.
I've only been crocheting since March. To date, I've made 4 garments, 2 shawls, a corner to corner lap blanket, a shark panda cozy, a few hanger covers, some small shelf liners (essentially small baby mats) for my metal racks, and a few more of these hot mats. One of the things that I truly love about myself is that I take incredible risks in my crafting, from my beadwork to my crochet. I make what I can afford with abandon. Not everything works out, but I will always try again. I hope that I will begin to approach my life in a similar way- free and without fear of failure. Thanks for joining me on this journey!
