Kegon Falls, Japan…
Recently, @nikonaustralia HQ flew us to Japan 🇯🇵 as the Australian 🇦🇺Ambassadors for the D850 & to put this incredible new camera through its paces. On our tour around the country, we’d never seen or even heard of these falls & thought rather than google it & spoil it with seeing other photographers takes on this spot we would see it with fresh eyes. But at first, it was a bit boring from up the top. We spent ages trying to capture it but it lacked lustre as you couldn’t see the base of these incredible falls.
Then @nikonasia gave us the surprise we needed, an elevator (yes, there was an elevator inside the mountain…only in Japan lol) that took us down the bottom to this exact spot… 😮
As many other photographers (from their various represented countries) decided not to come down, those very few of us that did, just stood there in awe 😮 And while we personally never shoot waterfalls under direct light, as the setting sun passed behind the mountain it sent a warm beam of light through the cavern…we were lost for words. Thank you Nikon for this amazing experience!!! ❤️ _____________________________________________ 📷 For those interested, this is a single image, taken on the I am @nikonaustralia D850 + the 24-70mm Lens with the @nisifiltersaustralia CP.
