Today is the #worldoceansday which, together with the #enviromentday on the 5th of June, is such an important day to celebrate.
Do you all know how much plastic we produce every day? Worldwide, we produce approximately 400 million tons of plastic every year. More than a billion kilograms per day!
All of this is necessary? Could we substitute it?
We have to try to replace the single use plastic, with reusable things.
Everywhere we find things wrapped in plastic, because it's the best way to cover our food (wrappings), to contain liquids (bottle) or objects (bags or boxes). It's definitely useful, but durable. Too much durable. That's the problem. A plastic bottle decompose in about 450 years, that mean all the plastic products we've prduced until now is still on the earth.
So, why can't we buy reusable containers, boxes, bottles, bags and so on?
We could save money and help our earth and our oceans.
For example, you can replace a plastic bottle with a @24bottles_official
Replace a plastic toothbrush with a bamboo one.
Insted of buying every time a new cup for your coffee bring your reusable one (the @ecoffeecup 's one are beautiful).
Bring your own bag when you go shopping (@naturasi_italia has just started to sell reusable bag for fruit and vegetables).
This are just some ideas, but you can help the environment in many other different ways.
Try to do the best for the oceans. #banplastic -
