Our 53 year old client @tw_thomasweber is a typical passionate weekend warrior who wants to be fit and ready for his sport which is downhill mountain biking. He also competes occasionally in amateur downhill mountain bike events. Like many people he doesn't absolutely LOVE physical training but understands the necessity of it to stay healthy and therefore improve his quality of life because he can really enjoy his sport longer.

Our main focus with him is to keep him as healthy as possible (which also means to deal with previous injuries) while also addressing certain needs in his sport such as overcoming eccentric forces, shoulder girdle and trunk stability and the ability to generate as much pedaling power as possible.
.
With such goals similar to Thomas' it's much easier to dedicate to physical training. The benefits down the line can't be underestimated and will help anyone to lead a happier and healthier life.

I tease in my Instagram bio that “I help people get fit and look good naked.”

I do this for a few reasons:

👙 First, because it’s fun and it’s honest. We all want to look good naked, am I right?!
⠀⠀
😎 Second, looking good naked is just really the pre-cursor to feeling good naked and being confident in your own skin. Which I think is something else we all want. Right? Exactly!
⠀⠀
👫 Lastly, I’m not naive to the research that shows people who look and feel good naked have better sex. And this form of human connection and intimacy is obviously a super important part to all healthy relationships.

So, I figured why no do a post on how to have better sex, from an an exercise perspective.

5 exercise for a fuller chest.
Personally I was doing this session to build the upper and middle part of my chest.

Incline bench to hit the top of the chest.

Dumbbell press with weights touching throughout the reps to really target the inner chest (drop sets)

Half reps on flys to pump the muscle full of blood.

I miei primi OPEN. WOW.
10 mesi fa quando ho messo piede al @crossfitbicocca non avrei mai immaginato di iscrivermi a questa gara a livello mondiale e sentirmi parte della stessa community di super atleti come @mathewfras, @sarasigmunds @tiaclair1.
10 mesi in cui ho superato i miei limiti, sono uscito dalla mia comfort zone, mi sono fatto male: mi si sono aperte le mani alla sbarra, graffiati gli stinchi sul box (alla prima lezione).
10 mesi in cui sono riuscito ad arrivare a sollevare 50 kg per uno snatch partendo a bilanciere vuoto, a fare stacchi da 115 kg senza sentire dolore alla lombare partendo da 40 kg, fare 5 pull ups di seguito quando a malappena arrivato ad attacarmi alla sbarra. Poi ho scoperto che alcune erano più basse per noi nani 👱🏻‍♀️
Oggi iniziano gli Open e stamattina ho superato un mio limite: quello di mettermi in gioco anche quando non si arriva primi. Per uno che aspira ad essere sempre il primo della classe non è semplice, credetemi.
Quindi grazie a @giorgiadonato73 , @m1ch43l86 , @lorycoach , @dimitri.lc e soprattutto @blaumoni per avermi reso un piccolo atleta (nel mio piccolo ). Ma soprattutto grazie ai miei compagni di avventura Floriana, Cinzia, Lory e Giuseppe e tutte le belle persone al box che ho conosciuto in questi mesi, senza i quali non avrei mai avuto la forza di iniziare e continuare questo percorso.

Flexibility was always known as the ability to bend but as the human knowledge has evolved it is seen alot broader than that.

Talking from a scientific point of view to be flexible is the ability of the muscle in union with the joints to develop a full range of motion. In some cases flexibility is known as the freedom to move, meaning to be able to engage parts of the body in a range of movements at a required speed. .
.
The ability of being pain free through extreme movements which requires your muscle to stretch is the key to full range of motion.
.
.
Gradual increase in the range which you are able to stretch yourself in a controlled manner will eventually lead to greater flexibility of the muscle and joints.
.
.
In the picture you can see a static stretch being performed. This requires strength and control as you can not just let yourself fall into certain positions because that can lead to injury. Whereas a dynamic stretch would be something of the opposite such as performing an air split!
