***Hodgkin oder Non-Hodgkin?***
Auf Nachfrage, eine kleine Zusammenfassung dieser 2 Krankheiten: Das Hodgkin Lymphom ist ein B-Zell Lymphom, das v.a. Junge Männer betrifft und durch große am Hals lokalisierte Lymphknotenpakete auffällt. B-Symptome sind hier ebenfalls stark ausgeprägt. Hier muss eine Biopsie der Lymphknoten erfolgen, um die Diagnose sichern zu können.
Hier sieht man dann histologisch die typischen Hodgkin (einkernig) oder Reed-Sternberg Zellen (mehrkernig). Therapie besteht in einer Bestrahlung der Betroffenen Körperstellen und Chemo. Die Therapie ist meist kurativ (Heilung möglich). ***
Non-Hodgkin Lymphome umfassen Lymphatischen Krebs der T- sowie B Zellen, den Zellen des Immunsystems. Hier gibt es viele verschiedene Arten.
Ein typisches niedrigmalignes B-Zell-Lymphom ist beispielsweise die CLL, die niedrig malignen T-Zell Lymphome betreffen vor allem die Haut( Mycosis fungoides). Ein typisches hochmalignes Lymphom ist zum Beispiel das Burkitt-Lymphom (B-Zell). Generell wachsen niedrigmaligne Lymphome langsamer, sind aber wegen der niedrigen Teilungsrate bei systemischem Befall nur in palliativer Intention therapierbar. Hochmaligne Lymphome haben zwar untherapiert eine schlechtere Prognose, sind aber prinzipiell heilbar.
Symptome, die bei jeder dieser Krankheiten auftreten: B-Symptomatik (Gewichtsverlust, Nachtschweiß, Fieber), vergrößerte, schmerzlose (!!!), harte (!!!) Lymphknoten. Vergrößerte Milz, Anämie, Blutungen und häufiger Infekte sind ebenfalls typisch. **
Ich gehe jetzt nicht auf jede einzelne Krankheit ein. Ich muss sie zwar im ganzen Detail fürs Examen drauf haben, ihr aber Gott sei Dank nicht #medstudentlife 😆✌️

Betcha didn’t know leg day was my fav day of the week! Ha jk. Elevated deadlifts are so great because they can work your entire body!! And something about slamming some weights in the gym helps during exams week lol

Make sure to really engage your glutes at the top!! Most people think that to grow a booty you have to squat 24/7 but I’ve found that mixing in deadlifts and other exercises targeting hammies are super beneficial! -

First meet for the books. It was a really fun and exciting experience👍 my bench and deadlifts didn’t go as planned but overall I did well for my first competition totaling (477.5kg/1,052lbs). I took 1st and @dustinnguyen_ took 2nd💪 special thx to my trainer/workout buddy for the program waiting for me after work to workout everyday😁

Do you ever go back and look at the things you post? Those beginning of the month plans, the goals you set for yourself..the intentions you’d put out there in hopes of reaching for something new, that thing you wanted to achieve? .
I know we are all really great about supporting each other and checking in on each other’s progress but are you remembering to check in ..with YOU?.

Two months in a row now I’ve done posts of intent in an effort to plan for the month ahead of me. And because both of those months were filled with holidays, events, birthdays and general busyness, I regularly have forgotten to put MYSELF on my own calendar.
I haven’t ditched workouts, they still get squeezed in and honestly some days I’m just doing the best I can but as much as I’ve struggled with stress & being overwhelmed by the constant list of things to do, I’m wondering why I didn’t take a moment to check in on ME. To pull up my list of things I wanted to do, to cheer myself on as I checked things off or to re-evaluate priorities if I was missing out on something important I really hoped to accomplish. I edged my own self out! I forgot completely to take just as good care of ME in the holiday chaos as I had been all year long. But the good news is, I finally am. .

The year isn’t over yet. It’s not too late to put yourself back on your to-do list! Check in on the goals you’ve set and see where you are, even if those goals were simple to enjoy the season! Make sure your meeting each day with intention to make yourself a high priority in your plan. .
