Surround yourself with people that push you, after knocking out 275lb x 3 for back squat, a fellow athlete did 365lbs x 3. I don’t want to be with people that let me be mediocre. At CrossFit Crestview in the Florida Panhandle we take pride in a friendly atmosphere and cheer and support each other.

I also worked on ring muscle ups and bar muscle ups. Not easy after all the Chest to bar but it mentally proves you still have some in your tank!! We drop ins at only $10 a class, except our Sunday Funday at 7:45am is a $5 drop in. Do you avoid being in pictures? Not looking at yourself in the mirror or at the number on the scale during your annual check-up?

It takes a lot of energy to keep hating your body.

You can free your mind of the negative self-talk so you can actually develop the tools necessary to make real, lasting change.

Mindset first. Physique follows.

When we decide to do this, seeing our reflection in the mirror doesn't have to be a painful or scary experience nor does it have to control our day and how we feel about ourselves.

You can look at your body in an objective way. You can get real without getting upset.
.
You don't have to be Photoshop perfect to be worthy. And you don't have to lose 10lbs to be happy.
.
The concepts are no longer tied together once we spend time working on our relationship with ourselves.
.
Your physique is not the only thing you have to offer the world. There is meaning to discover and create elsewhere.
.
Maybe you'll find it in learning a new language or a musical instrument. For me, it's been in writing and starting a small business. And most recently, jiu jitsu.
.
Instead of obsessing over your body, be an amazing parent, sibling or partner. Go bike riding, focus on non-physique related activities like rock-climbing, paddleboarding or a Tough Mudder.
.
There are infinite ways to feel like you are contributing and are worthy that have zero to do with your body fat percentage and everything to do with your awesome, unique mind. ♥️

It’s amazing what changing your physical habits can do to your emotional habits.
In all seriousness, negative self talk has taken up majority of my life. Always looking in the mirror, picking apart EVVERYYTHING. I don’t think there was ever much positivity.
But the kind of #weightlossresults I’m having go far beyond just the physical changes, but the mental changes. I feel better, I’m happier; and my confidence is rising.
There are always good days and bad days, but I’m trying to have more good lately, and when the bad days and negative self talk starts to creep in my head, I’m noticing it more and shutting that shit DOWN.
Self love peeps, let’s have more of it 💕

A year ago I was seeing a neurosurgeon and told I'd probably have to have neck surgery due to herniated discs.

Umm, hell no!! 🚫 That scared the crap outta me, so instead I made my PT appointments and didn't miss one! The excruciating pain was going away and I was feeling 'normal' again after about a month.
That was it, that was the reminder I needed not to take my body for granted anymore! Eating junk, not eating breakfast & skipping lunch, drinking too much beer, cleaning my plate because I was 'supposed to.' All of that stinkin' thinkin' had to go! 🙅🏽‍♀️ I FINALLY said "yes" to joining a community of people striving to live healthier lives and encouraging one another along the way. Ten months in I'm down 24 lbs, a number of inches and ⬆️ immeasurably in self love, confidence, joy and hope.
Stop putting it off. Stop allowing yourself to feel like crap. We deserve so much more! ❤

Did you know it takes about 2-3 months to form a new habit?
That may seem like a long time but in the grand scheme of things, that’s like the blink of an eye.

Working out and being active should be a habit.
A good place to start is making time once or twice a week.
If you can eventually get that to three or more days a week I promise you will have fallen in love with fitness at this point and the word “habit” turns into “hobby”.
