My own fault for leaving it till the evening. It was late, I was feeling lazy, and the excuses were looming ... but I didn't listen to them. I didn't let them win πŸ™ŒπŸ» And boy am I ever grateful for getting these workouts done because I feel so much better, as I always do post workout πŸ’– and now I am caught up with the schedule!
And the ladies in my accountability groups, man, they are rockstars! They hold me accountable!! I've been seeing their amazing workout posts all day long. As a coach, how could I not show up, press play and post my own workout post to the group?! I love the accountability - this is a huge piece to my success, to my journey. 😯are you riddled with excuses?

I haven't been on point with meal planning and prepping for some time and have just been winging it.
.
Do you know what that's gotten me? +10lbs since January 😳😬. That's right, even with my daily workouts, when I'm not consistent with my nutrition and don't plan ahead of time I have a tendency to over eat or eat things that aren't the best option because, well I can be lazy sometimes πŸ˜‰
.
So I made the decision that this isn't the path I want to go down and I'm going to do what I know it takes to be the healthiest I can be. This weekend, I planned and prepped and now I'm set for the week!

I saw this shirt and had to have it! I laughed as I put it on this morning, but the joke was on me. You really can't make this stuff up.
By 9 am i had gotten in a double workout, shower, coffee (thank God!), had 3 kids fed, dressed, and ready to go, done 3 loads of laundry, cleaned up human feces not once but twice (nope, no one is sick, just life with boys gag!), had Olivia to the dentist on time...oh, and Louie had nearly burned down the house. Yup, he ate an electrical cord that was plugged in to the wall and the living room was full of smoke. πŸ”₯ Good times. 😜
I won't even get into how good the kids were today after a fun weekend of camping. πŸ˜‰
Tomorrow Steve and I get a romantic kid and dog-free night away. I think they (kids and dogs) all wanted to be sure that they reminded us how crazy our life is on a daily basis so that we true enjoy the night away. Lol

I got my sweat angel this morning!! .
My brain was seriously heavy this morning, so much going on that I was thinking about. But for 45mins I could put the rest of the world away from my brain and just push. Push myself to feel better and push myself past my excuses and push myself to stop thinking about things that I can't control.

I workout for my sanity.
I workout to forget what's going on in the world for a little bit of my day.

I will never understand some things in life. I will never understand why some people do what they do. I will never understand why I give give give and some people just take for whatever reason (and sometimes they may not even realize it). My face explains how I feel about all that, but you can only control yourself. I skipped grit today; I just wasn't feeling it today bc life was just affecting me today plus Ev is feeling crappy and needed a nap. However, this is when I need my escape, my sanity, time to clear my head. Not sure it helped, but it helped for now. Back to my busy frickin' day! 😩

I picked up this cute tank at a little boutique store in a small TN town while traveling for my daughter's softball. New workout clothes always make me excited to workout although technically I don't think this was a workout shirt per say. πŸ€”

My cardio Bootcamp workout was also a great way for me to forget about everything except remembering to breathe. πŸ˜…πŸ˜… Day 2 is in the books!

This morning's workout was MMA Speed on modified. What I love about my workouts especially, is that most have modifiers for either beginners or people who just need to go slower or low-impact. Like this preggo! In 27 minutes I broke a sweat doing something challenging yet fun. Yeah! Now off to start my day!

It's -35 degrees wind chill so #homeworkout it is. First time ever doing #manmakers (insert eye roll - not a fan of sexist attributes towards anything but especially exercises) and they were #tough but so am I, dammit! 25 rounds completed in 8 minutes. I'm slowly easing back into the world of the living again, as in I actually made it in to work today! And with the return to reality I decided it's time to fuel my body with real, clean, whole foods. I've got to get myself back to full health and feeling sorry for myself and eating crap food isn't the way to go about it! So it starts with dinner...Greek kale salad πŸ₯—....because I basically had ice cream cake for lunch 😜. .
Tomorrow is a new day! Who is ready to join me???

I'm back at it after a weekend off!! Making up for lost time - got cardio, strength and core done πŸ‘πŸ» and my goal this week is to stay engaged and stay motivated!

Hoping for two workouts again tomorrow to get myself back to where I need to be on the schedule. It's vacation time, so I need to make sure I make the time for me!

Thankfully I've got a bunch of women in my accountability groups who have already logged in their workouts this morning to motivate me to move!

Strength + Core day
I was up early. Super early. But got stuck scrolling through FB and IG 😯
But I eventually hopped out of bed, got into my workout clothes and did my workout. No excuses, no cursing. I WAS IN IT TODAY πŸ™ŒπŸ» yayyyyy! I don't know if it was just a funk I was in the last few days ... all I know is that I had a great workout and I worked hard πŸ’ͺ🏻 We are allowed to have those kind of days.
And we are allowed to rest our bodies if that is what they are telling us.

It's all part of the journey - you can't be a rockstar EVERY DAY πŸ˜‰

I've been craving comfort foods so tonight I made homemade chicken and rice soup which really hit the spot, but then I was scrounging for something else. I wasn't hungry, I don't really have much of an appetite...but I was looking for something sweet. So I compromised! Instead of shoving candy in my face I decided to settle on a fresh bowl of berries and almonds topped with I unsweetened coconut...and then I had to share with Grace πŸ˜‰. Just saying this was a great substitute!

The struggle is real! Let us help you forget for an hour πŸ€— cardio barre 4:40, barre sculpt 5:45.

We went on a nice walk after dinner tonight and spotted this amazing little piece of nature and the came home and had a little Snapchat fun 😜

This week was both a huge struggle and a major accomplishment! Can you have both? Of course you can! I pushed myself and it was hard every single day of my workouts, but I feel majorly accomplished because no matter how difficult it was I still finished! It wasn't pretty and it wasn't perfect but I did it! And it was all of course topped off by enjoying my favorite shake 😊

Colorful food in a colorful bowl makes me happy 😊, I guess it's the little things in life right? Simple, clean and colorful! Thanks @arzinno for a great meal!

Wrapping up week two and even though I haven't been in the right mental place, I'm getting it done and feel better than I would if I didn't do it!
