I was talking with a coworker the other day about how when I've gone through long periods of putting everyone's needs before my own, I have felt like I leave my body. Maybe that sounds 'out there', but it's that extreme feeling of disconnection from myself, being so uncomfortable in my own skin I just have to get out. That girl on the left is there, but not really there.
We also talked about how exercising can bring us back into our bodies. It's so true for me! When I am working out regularly, I feel grounded. I feel connected to every fiber, to my heart. My brain works better, I forgive more easily, I am in fact MORE present for others.
Fitness is about so much more than vanity. We are creating more fulfilling lives, one workout at a time!
