Happy Thanksgiving! Whilst not a traditional British celebration, it is celebrated by many of my friends and family across the pond. As I sit on the train this morning into work it reminded me that sometimes it's so easy to overlook the things in life that I am thankful and grateful for. Whilst today is about thankfulness (and I don't just mean for the fab pumpkin pie that gets made) it's easy to get bogged down into the everyday detail of life and forget about gratitude.
I am thankful today and every day for so much, but more than the physical or material things in my life. My friends and family who have always supported me. Those far and near whilst I may not see or speak to them every day they are always in my heart.
My health- I am grateful that I am able to do and experience so much in life. Being grateful for my health means more than gratitude for being alive itself, it means appreciating the capacities allowed by my health. I know that if I hadn't of had the support to make a change in my life this may not be the case. Equally that I hope the glimpse into my journey helps to inspire you that healthy change is possible.
So today I just wanted to take a moment and be #thankful and try to recognise the little pieces of thankfulness each day moving forward. What are you thankful for?
