Ahhh attack of the plastic monster!!! We've been noticing something--many parts of the world, especially where we are now (Vietnam), have a plastic problem. We have been working hard to avoid single use plastic and not contribute so much to this problem: .
1. I carry of small pouch with silverware, metal chopsticks, reusable straws to use at street vendors and when ordering drinks
2. I keep my own coffee/drink cup, canvas shopping bags and mesh produce bags with me in my bag.
3. We always have our stainless steel water bottles.
4. We join local trash clean up groups. This has been a great way to meet people and get exercise, while cleaning up a beach or natural area.
Are we missing anything? What are your best tips for cutting down on single use plastic?
