This is probably a little too long of a post, but...meh.
Working remote came at a unique time for me. It's been about a year and a half now working from home and some of you have asked how I do it so I randomly decided to rant about it, & well, this is it. Computer on table, coffee nearby, shades up during the work day. Clean the coffee cup, take the computer off the table when I'm done.
Working at home is a lot about managing balance and I love our work culture for the flexibility it offers! I'm sure others at Workiva can say that, even while working remote, we feel valued, informed, and still part of team. That's huge and a big accomplishment to operations, tech, and communication teams! Not sure I would like this as much at another company. *Workivians rock*
There are more pros than cons, but staying disciplined and focused is definitely necessary. Luckily, I started my current role while living with @gmom02 and formed the disciplined habits early on that I needed to manage my work amidst a packed family and volunteer schedule ❤️ I'm also convinced that being a patient of network chiropractic care at @inspirelifechirocenter and diffusing certain essential oils helps keep the focus when I need it!
Setting the phone in Airplane mode or Do Not Disturb does wonders as well ;) Thankful for all my work mates that continue to challenge me miles away! Viva Workiva! #workivalife #crushit #motivationnation #ramblemode #happens #doyou #doyourthing #dontholdback
