Nasi Lemak craving satisfied and just in time for my flight back home.

Quick lunch @medifoodsm and trying their Lei Cha. For those not familiar, Lei Cha (translates to Thunder Tea Rice) is a famous Hakka dish which basically contains an assortment of vegetables and nuts, served with rice and a grounded tea soup which is mixed in. It hasn’t always been something I enjoyed eating, but over time as I’ve incorporated so much more vegetables into my diet, I now find it incredibly delicious and refreshing. Who else loves eating Lei Cha? Also, if you have recommendations on where to eat in KL, let me know in the comments!

GOOEY S'MORE TARTS!😍 With vegan marshmallows from @debron_lifestylecandy, homemade crackers and chocolate🙌 In my last post about these tarts some of you asked for the exact recipe so here it is! Recipe makes 2 tarts (10cm each)
You'll need:

75 gr vegan marshmallows
About 4 graham crackers/cookies
Vegan chocolate (as much as you like)
Recipe for the cookies/crackers I made, below👇

Take your crackers and break them into smaller pieces. Chop your chocolate into smaller pieces as well. Add layers of the crackers, marshmallows and chocolate to your molds. Put your tarts in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes at 180 degrees celsius. Serve hot and with some more melted chocolate on top. Enjoy!😙 •




This recipe makes about 20 cookies. You'll need:

325 gr flour
80 gr sugar
105gr vegan butter
60ml water
2tbsp molasses
1 tbsp agave syrup
1tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
Pinch of salt •


Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and spices. Add the butter to this mixture and mix well. Lastly add the molasses, water and the agave syrup and knead with your hands untill a nice dough forms. Roll out your dough between 2 parchment paper sheets until about 1 cm thick. Cut the cookies into your desired shape and bake them in the oven at 180 degrees celsius for about 25-30 minutes. Hey Friends! I'm back! ✨ I've been a little quiet over here due to the holidays, my best friends visiting from San Fran + Montreal, the stomach flu... ugh and well just needing some extra ME time. Feeling more refreshed and officially ready to kick some New Year butt. ✌🏻

Whether your meal prepping today, getting into your fave yoga class, hanging at your fave cafe or just doing you, my romanesco-detox dill soup is sure to keep you toasty and set you up for the week (makes lots of leftovers and tots freezer friendly!) If you can't find one of these lime-green gems you can always swap in cauliflower too! This funky looking veg is nutrient dense, packed with vitamin C, A, and K as well as folate, iron, manganese, carotene, protein, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids! 💚 dets below! 👇🏻

=the goods=
.
- 1 tbsp of avo oil (to saute at high heat!)
.
- 1/3 olive oil
.
- 1 yellow onion chopped
.
- 3 cloves of garlic chopped
.
- 1 yukon or sweet potato peeled and chopped
.
- 1 romanesco (or cauliflower) roughly chopped
.
- 3 cups veg broth / 1 cup filtered water
.
- 1/2 of a squeezed lemon
.
- a scoop of @genuinehealth unflavoured fermented vegan protein powder (optional)
.
- a handful of parsley
.
- a (heaping) handful of dill (i love dill! but you can alter how much dill you want to include!)
.
- salt and pepp (for tasting)
.
=to make=
- In a large pot over med heat saute onions with avocado oil (5-7mins), then the garlic
.
- add the liquid, potato, romanesco - bring to a boil and let simmer for 20 mins until vegetables are soft.
.
- let it cool a bit, then pour mixture into a vented Vitamix and add in the rest of the herbs, oil, lemon, protein powder, salt and pepper or add into the pot and mix with an immersion blender .
- top with your fave sprouts, nuts, seeds or something sweet like poms!

I don't know about you guys, but I have endless pinterest boards full of 'fall recipes' that I've been itching to try since I saved them back in the spring and over the summer! It feels so wrong pulling out a slow cooker during our summer heat waves. So with this new sweater weather, comes new seasonal goodies for stews, soups, slow cookers and warming foods!⠀

I found @pinchofyum 'the best detox crockpot lentil soup' months ago! I instantly fell in love because of its ease, it's meal prep friendly, it freezes well and most of all it's jam-packed with nutrition 👊🏻. Sharing is caring, so I'm here to urge you to try this recipe over the next fall-winter seasons! It's a serious 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 recipe.⠀

I topped mine with some roasted turmeric cauliflower, sunflower sprouts, a sprinkle of nooch and my easy-peasy roasted chickpeas (if you scroll down a bit the recipe is on my feed!) and added in 1/4 cup of quinoa.⠀
