Sunday was a bright sunny morning. Since the weather was perfect, AND Monday was a holiday, me and Saisha decided to put aside the crazy assumptions since 2 days and went for a romantic getaway to an exotic resort. We really needed to spend some quality time with each other, something that was scarce in recent times.
We headed out after breakfast and drove, straight to the resort, it was like those cliched scenes from movies, only, it felt better, with Saisha’s arms on me as I drove. We reached in no time.
The resort was pretty quaint, yet breathtakingly beautiful, and to top it of, it had a freaking lake inside it.
We checked in, submitted our details, they gave us our key, which was a card.
Saisha asked me why I was in such a mad tearing hurry, and I just said, “I want to quickly change and go to the lake side.” She believed me. Maybe she shouldn’t have.
The card couldn’t open our door. Strange. Sometimes, 2 keys open the same door, and sometimes, 1 key opens 2 doors.
Saisha ran to the reception and got another key and we were inside our room.
We got changed and headed for the lake. We boated for a good 2-3 hours and they were the most serene 2-3 hours of my life. Maybe it was the lull before the storm.
Just as we were about to finish, the clouds began to pour, YET again. The storm, i see, was it only in the literal sense?
We were completely drenched as we entered our room, it was a moment and in that moment, I began undressing Saisha, she was cold and her heart beat fast. Our heart beats fast on 2 occasions, either when we’re too happy or too anxious. I failed to comprehend that it was the later, today.
The clothes came off, the masks stayed on, something was to be seen, but the curtains stayed drawn.
Steamy wild sex, and we were warm, how I wish there was another storm.
All that workout had made us hungry and we decided to have dinner in bed along with wine and a movie. I didn’t realise when I dozed off, only to be woken up by a 3 AM WhatsApp text that read, “He’s hiding something from you.” There was a sudden gush of wind, which made the curtains sway, the spotlight on me as I lay.
