Time for Floortalk!
Hey y'all. Thanks for joining us. Floortalk is a weekly opportunity to talk shop with hundreds of other great wood flooring pro's right here on Instagram. We are here to learn from each other!
Tonight's Topic: CALLBACKS. This is a hard topic to put into words. Where do you draw the line between doing the right thing and letting someone take advantage of you? I know we all write out contracts that stipulate what we will provide and layout guidelines as to what we are responsible for and not. But have you ever had a client or HO that pushed those limits? Being that we all want to uphold our reputation of going above and beyond but not gain a reputation of being easy to walk all over. What has been your worst callback? One where you felt like the client/HO was pushing the limitations. How did you handle it? If you don't have one, think of a scenario where you would draw the line.
Tonight's Sub-Topic: LEARNING! I learn something new from every job. Whether it's something new to add into the contract or just learning a trick of the trade. Or learning a more efficient sanding technique or a new sequence. Do you feel like you learn every job? What's the last thing you learned? And for you guys that have been doing this for 25-30+ years, do you still learn something each job?
We're here to learn from each other, help each other, support each other and most of all: KEEP THIS TRADE ALIVE!!!
Share your stories, your thoughts, your ideas. What you found to work for you, the mistakes you've learned from.
