Wood fire Pizza, "forno a legna" - and no other kind! . Pizza. long ago it has left Italy and spread itself to all corners of the globe. You probably have a pretty good pizza place in mind from your home town. . So, where would you eat pizza when you come to Italy? . As the title already gave it away, i believe (and all none lazy Italians would agree) that the only way to go is with a restaurant that make it's pizza in a wood fired oven - which are very very common in Italy. . You get a completely different texture, crisp, aroma and so much more that cannot be described in words - so just take my word for it and go to try it yourself! . After spending 2 months in Rome researching and tasting every pizza place known to man - i can fully recommend "La gatta mangiona", it is a little far from the center (as all really good food places are) but it is definitely worth the journey. .
