Scenes from Hong Kong, day four: (1) the reason this section of Wan Chai is called the wet market? It’s wet around the fish sellers’ stalls. (2) and (3) show close up the bamboo scaffolding. I just find it hard to believe they construct even skyscrapers with this!
(4) and (5): our neighborhood coffee shop is The Coffee Academics, and they make a killer cinnamon Turkish latte! (And avocado toast which I ate before thinking to take a picture).
(6) and (7): had my first congee at Ho Hung Kee restaurant which has earned a Michelin star. I was told by congee experts that theirs is seriously good. The other good in the picture is won ton noodles and fried egg tarts. I like regular egg tarts better, but these were awfully good. What I have come to learn is that sweets here are not killer sweet, which is really nice!
