I don't think I have ever been more excited about an event as I am for this one. I tried to explain to my husband why I was so excited (he does not exactly share my excitement) and all I could come up with was this. It's something larger than me, larger than Nashville, larger than the United States. The stars and the moon have always fascinated me, made me feel small, but not in a bad way. Gave me hope that there was something bigger than me. Something that humans have no control over, something humans can not make a mess of, something that will happen with or without humans. I have my glasses and I am lucky enough to have my mom, my dad, and my husband by my side to experience it. I am lucky that I won't have to fight traffic or travel further than my balcony to experience the wonder of it. So where ever you may be on your part of this globe, check out this article on http://Time.com, enter your zip code, get the glasses, look up and soak up the wonder that is the universe, and know that I will be watching with you.
