Allright sooo y'all know I don't show my butt much on the gram but I felt like this picture was worth sharing because of the message attached to it. Long story short, the first time I showed this picture to one of my friend, her reaction has been about how I looked confident in the right picture. Same thing happened with two other friends (lolz yes I send progress pictures to my close friends for support when I feel like shit πŸ’ shoutout to @mylenetm for always cheering me up 😘).

I'm telling you guys that because I see we always always talk about the physical changes of fitness, how hip thrusts will make your booty big, but not enough about those mental changes, the ones no one can see from the outside, yet the most important ones. Like seriously, what about them ?Β πŸ€” Yes, lifting weight can give you a bigger bum, a good looking 6 packs, a smaller waist, defined arms... but lifting weight can also help you reduce your anxiety, it can make you feel better in your skin, it can make you feel mentally stronger and a lot more confident. πŸ™‹ Heck, lifting weight can transform you into a BAD ASS even if you do not have a lot of muscles showing !

I've never been overweight or extremely skinny, but for some reason I've always been extremely self conscious about my body. You know the skinny-fat syndrom... 😣 I mean I still have bad days just like everyone but for the most part, I can say I feel pretty good about myself ☺

When I met @jfraank her biggest strength problem was the gap between her max lifts and her strength endurance. Today, she did amrap at 90% in the back squat for six. It's not easy to believe every day and fight back after injury and life get in the way. But when you dont believe, your friends, coach, and team do. Thats who we are. It’s not uncommon for some women to retain 5-7 pound of water in the late luteal phase, and then drop it off. It doesn’t mean that you need to change anything, just be aware of it and keep doing what you’re doing.
