There’s been much discussion in the media about leadership these last months. There is not one fixed model of leadership that works. Knowing your personal leadership style means being self aware and knowing which of your behaviours are working for you and which are working against you. If you’re in a leadership role spend time developing the behaviours that are proven to be effective at bringing about results. Get reflective, build trust up, down and across the organisation, get a clear vision and collaborate with others so people are aligned with organisational purpose. Importantly, develop your people. You’re an effective leader when people believe in your vision, trust you and want to follow you.
