Scars are tattoos with better stories. It's been almost ten weeks since my clavicle operation and thought I'd give a quick update on my injury. Since crashing and having my collarbone plated and pinned I've been on two training camps in Spain, podiumed in open races, competed in my first ever stage race getting 4th in GC and won two national medals. I refused to let my injury be the end of my season! I now have full movement in my shoulder and am continuing to build up my strength (I can do more push-ups now than I could do pre-injury. 💪). I'd have to thank my coach John Kenny @a1coaching for the structured training plan I was given during my recovery. I would not have been getting results at this point without that expert guidance. Thanks also to everyone who messaged me while I was injured with words of encouragement and support. There were a lot of scar and wound photos shared with me along with recovery tips which was cool and really helpful. The broken collarbone seems to be a right of passage for all cyclists. 🙈If you have any questions about my recovery from injury let me know. Happy Monday!
