😊 Happy. One year ago today I started a job that has helped me grow so much in 365 days. Once graduating from FAMU I worked for a company for 5 years and struggled during my last two to feel valued. So I searched and searched for ANY job just to get out of my current one. I took a new job where I thought I would both love it and learn, instead it was the most stressful 11 months of my professional career. It forced me to grow quickly and challenged me in ways I never thought I would experience in today's society. Then the tables turned and I was recruited by TWO major companies, and it was my turn to decide where I wanted to work and continue to grow. Each organization had its pros and cons but after lots of thought and some negotiations I decided which one was best for me... And I wouldn't change a thing! I have a manager and teammates who are collaborative and supportive, I have the opportunity to grow and develop, and I was honored to travel with senior leaders to Mumbai, Chennai and New Delhi, India as a true business partner within my 1st year.
I share my story with you because success for most is not linear, it takes falling down and building yourself back up. Remember, when the front door is closed, you go around to the back! And even when you find success, don't get too comfortable, keep pushing! #oneyearanniversary #wolterskluwer #success #motivation #blackgirlmagic
