Just to say thank you to everyone who asked after my mum yesterday and sorry that I didn’t reply to you all individually. She is out of hospital and back in her home. I am sure some of you can relate to having a parent with or relative in the latter stages dementia, it is so difficult and upsetting when they have a fall as they cannot tell you what is hurting or how they fell so there is little information to give to the doctors, causing frustration all round no doubt. Anyway, the lovely nurses in West Suffolk Hospital treated her so kindly and with great care, understanding that I didn’t want her to be distressed more than necessary. How they do that job, I really don’t know, they have nothing but my admiration. Have a lovely day everyone, thank you again for your kind words.
I think Michael felt sorry for me as he let the dog upstairs last night for the first time ever (I know, bad mistake!) but he was a comfort, laying as still as anything all night at my feet. We got up with the sun to walk around the field and I picked these few early poppies that I know will wilt very quickly, but they are beautiful while they last.
