Not every girl wants to be a princess.
Labels and gender roles have always confused me and being a impulsive rebel I have always defied them. Growing up with brothers I did not see myself as different and whenever my gender was pointed out as a weakness I gave it my best shot and often proved them wrong. I like what I like: motorcycles, science, sports, horses, school, dance, nature, yoga.... you could put these hobbies into gender categories but why? That only set up one more barrier for you to have to cross. I choose to always try my best, always try out new things, and to see what I enjoy, despite the options of others. Don’t like anyone else’s option keep you from trying something out, and from giving it your best shot. What if that chance you let pass you by (because society told you it was for boys, or for someone taller or thinner or ...) was your true calling in life? You never know until you try, and if it doesn’t work for you, now you know, and you learn something new about yourself.
