2015 Chateau de la Charriere Santenay 1er Cru "Beauregard" (Santenay, Cote de Beaune, Burgundy, France)
Another wonderful wine from Chateau de la Charriere directly imported by @klwines . Santenay is mostly known for producing red wine, but many great white wines are also made there.
Beauregard Vineyard is located very close to Santenay village and has excellent sun exposure and soil.
The wine is pale gold in the glass with fragrant aromas of white peach, honeysuckle, and rose petals. The palate is light-bodied but very fresh, with surprising complexity, along with flint-like minerality and tart acidity. It is reasonably well-integrated and ready to drink despite being quite young. This was surprisingly nice and definitely didn't feel outclassed by the premier cru Chablis and Meursault drank immediately before and after. At $30 this is a nice deal and I'd recommend checking it out. @klwineshollywood
