97pts | 🍇🍇🍇🍇| $27 | Potential value buy of the year, refined and gob smacking | Detailed notes below..
Dappled were recently voted best new winery of 2017/18 at the Halliday awards however this back vintage was a treasure find, excellent value and extremely high quality. Made from close-planted, high altitude site planted in 1986, which Macedon Pinot Noir master, Michael Dhillon of Bindi Wines (expert of Macedon), consulted on clone and aspect. Using 15% whole bunch, this is a varietal Pinot which celebrates its mature vines and the cool climate of Macedon. It has a perfumed, bright nose with some floral and deep brambly fruit aromas. Palate shows flavours of dark cherry and some savoury, smoky charcuterie notes with a textured mouthfeel and supple tannin. Great now though will cellar also. 97pts and 🍇🍇🍇🍇. You could have this everyday of the week guilt free, pairs well with soft cheeses or duck pancakes. @dappled_wines
