2009 Chateau Lagrange . Frugal Friday! . Lagrange is a consistent and high quality producer from the left bank that can be found easily for under 100 dollars. It is a huge vineyard and was classified as a third growth in 1855. Lagrange’s saving grace, however, was being bought by Suntory of Japan in 1983 and have been making great wine ever since. . This wine is ripe and has soft tannins that makes it very approachable now. Really fruity with red and black fruit primarily but softer notes like blueberry as well. It can be aged, but at this quality and price, why wait! . Comparable to 2000. Really great wine and great price.

Because at the end of the day, that's all that matters anyway. . And my gosh, that feeling is SO freeing. 🙌🏻💜
