Arbois Tôt ou Tard - Domaine Les Bottes Rouge, Jura, France 2015
This bright and juicy red wine is made from 100% Poulsard grapes planted in clay soils from Arbois, Jura in France 🇫🇷 . The grapes are de-stemmed by hand into tanks where they are allowed to ferment naturally and undergo a three-week maceration after which they are pressed into 600L barrique barrels. Bottled without the addition of SO2 (sulphur dioxide) and rested for six months in bottle before release. Unfined and unfiltered (so vegan friendly) 💚✌️
Made by Jean-Baptiste Menigoz, who actually started out as a special needs teacher in Arbois, but then developed a passion for the local natural wines and after 10 years of studying, set up on his own.
Try this tasty vino by the glass or by the bottle tomorrow night, it’ll be on the menu this week, along with a white 🥂- Cotes du Jura, Domain Francois Rousset-Martin Puits-Saints-Pierre Savagnin, France 2015 and a yellow 🥂(if we’re getting technical) Vin Jaune Dugois, Domain Jura, France 2009 .
