Ever tried a still wine from Vernaccia Nera?
On the steep hills of Macerata in the Marche region of Italy, Terre di Serrapetrona brings back to life the Vernaccia Nera, an old indigenous and precious grape variety. Founded in 1990 by a co-operative of seven friends, the winery was recently acquired by Stefano Graidi, an entreprenuer from Jesi with the dream of making top quality wines from this variety. Unlike the most popular DOCG 3 fermentation sparkling version, The DOC is still, full bodied, complex, long-lived and it definitely worth a try! Robbione from @terrediserrapetrona was a great discovery and it expresses all the qualities or Vernaccia Nera. Thanks to my friend @carloandreagerosa for the tasting at Vinitaly!
