📸 @wina_wina - Who wants a bite of this delicious meatless kimchi mandoo?! ☺️ RECIPE 📝
Filling:
1/2 cup well fermented kimchi, chopped
1/2 block of firm tofu, drained & crushed
1 1/2 cup of fresh shiitake mushrooms, chopped
1 cup of clear yam noodles, cooked & chopped into small bits
1/2 onion, chopped
3 stalks of green onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
* Tip: Chop all the items into fairly small bits so that you get a nice bite of everything
Season filling with:
1 Tbs light soy sauce
1 Tbs sake
1 Tbs mushroom seasoning
1 ts sugar
1 ts black pepper
1 ts white pepper
2 Tbs corn starch

1 pack of round pot sticker/dumpling wrappers
1 small bowl of water
Napa cabbage or lettuce, optional

Sauce:
1 Tbs soysauce
1 ts rice vinegar
1/2 ts Sesame oil
black pepper
sesame seeds

1. Prepare the list of ingredients above and begin with seasoning the filling. Make sure that you mix everything evenly so that each bite will be consistent.
2. Take a wrapper and place a spoonful of filling onto the center. Be sure to leave enough room for folding in half with half an inch of room for sealing. Dip your finger into the bowl of water and paint it onto half of wrapper. Fold wrapper in half and gently press. Take the pointy ends of the half circle, place a dab of water on it and connect the ends. That's it!
3. Take all your wrapped dumplings and place them onto a steam rack. You can line the steam rack with Napa cabbage or lettuce to prevent sticking but I found that not all wrappers stick.
4. Once the water boils, steam for about 15 minutes and remove. Enjoy with the sauce recipe above or by itself!

Pro tip: Sprinkle kosher salt generously on your steak & let it sit for about an hour. Rinse steak of salt & water gently. Pat dry & fry in one Tbs oil on med high until crusting & then flip. This steak turned out super juicy, flavorful, tender & delicious!

When it looks like a noodle and acts like a noodle but is NOT a noodle! Made spicy shrimp "chow shredded tofu" and it was low carb, high protein delicious! I love the texture on these tofu shreds which are firm & springy. *Pic on IG story*
Check out my recipe:
1 Pk Tofu shreds
6 shrimp, clean & remove shell
3-4 baby bok choy, halved
1/4 carrot, julienned
1 fresno pepper
1/4 onion, sliced
1 tsp garlic powder
2 Tbs soy sauce
1 Tbs oyster sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp chicken or mushroom seasoning
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp chili oil
Green onion & Cilantro to taste

1. Fry shrimp until almost done, set aside
2. Fry bok choy until almost done. I fry it on high without oil in a nonstick pan so that it gives off a roasted flavor. Remove & set aside.
3. Add the remaining ingredients (except green onion & cilantro) with seasoning to the frying pan and mix well on medium heat and fry for about 5 minutes.
4. Add shrimp & veggies back and combine. Top with green onion & cilantro .
Enjoy! ☺️

Spicy teriyaki noodles! Jet lag got me making some random noodles in the middle of the night. I haven't been grocery shopping after being on vacation for a month, so I just used whatever I had in the freezer & pantry. Ingredients:

@flavorgod garlic lovers seasoning
salt & pepper

👇Recipe👇 Noodles with crispy tofu in habanero sauce. Here's another wina that I created by using the habanero flavored hot sauce by @formosasauce. The habanero sauce adds a really nice smokiness to the tofu which makes boring tofu so much more fun! What's especially cool is the sauce is bold with flavor and not overly spicy so don't be afraid to try it out. ☺️ Noodles & tofu in habanero sauce:

½ pound of Angel hair
½ block of firm tofu cut into small cubes
½ red bell pepper, sliced
½ red onion, sliced
¼ lb baby bok choy, sliced thinly
1 green onion
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbs @formosasauce habanero sauce
2 Tbs Soy sauce
1 Tbs Vegetarian oyster sauce
1 Tbs sugar
1 Tbs rice wine
½ cup veggie broth
1. Make seasoning sauce by combining the habanero sauce, soy sauce, vegetarian oyster sauce, sugar, and rice wine.
2. Take a paper towel, wrap the tofu and squeeze gently to drain out excess water. Cut the tofu into small cubes and fry each side on medium high until brown & crispy (about 5 mins each side). Turn off heat & take a Tbs of seasoning sauce and toss into the tofu for flavoring. Set aside on a separate plate.
3. Cook angel hair until almost done. Strain and set aside.
4. Heat your pan on medium high and add one Tbs of oil. Add the onion and garlic, fry for about two minutes until fragrant. Add the veggies and continue to stir fry for about about 3 minutes. Add 1 Tbs of seasoning sauce and continue to stir.
5. Add the angel hair and ½ cup of veggie broth. Add another 1-2 Tbs of seasoning sauce and cook for about 3-5 minutes for the seasonings to come together and mix gently. Taste and add additional seasoning sauce to taste.
6. Toss in the tofu, give it a quick mix & serve. Top with green onion & enjoy! #winasrecipe

So addicted to this Thai drunken spaghetti! This time, I used ground chicken & shrimp for protein and asparagus & bell peppers for veggies! The result? Another Wina!! Reposting the og recipe here 👇👇 Thai Drunken Spaghetti Recipe:
½ lb ground pork
½ lb shrimp, shells removed & cleaned
½ lb Chinese broccoli sliced thinly
½ lb Napa cabbage
4 cloves of garlic, smashed & minced
1 shallot, sliced
1 cup of Holy basil, Thai basil, or regular basil
4 lime leaves, cut into small strips
2 Thai chili, smashed & minched
3 Green onion, chopped into 1 inch pieces
2 Tbs oyster sauce
1 Tbs maggi sauce
1 Tbs regular soy sauce
1 Tbs sweet soy sauce
1 Tbs fish sauce
1 tsp rice wine
½ tsp corn starch
2 tsp sugar
2 Tbs water
½ lb spaghetti noodles
1. Cook pasta until almost cooked, drain, rinse & set aside.
2. Make stir fry sauce by adding: Oyster sauce, soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, fish sauce, and water.
3. Take ground pork, add ½ tsp corn starch, 1 tsp rice wine, 1 tsp of maggi sauce and mix. Stir fry the pork on high heat until done. Remove & set aside.
4. In a pan on high heat, add oil, minced garlic, thai chilis, shallots and fry for about 2 minutes. Add the cabbage, broccoli, shrimp, a spoonful of the sauce and fry another 2-3 minutes.
5. Add pork, spaghetti, lime leaves, 2 tsp sugar and half of the sauce. Continue to stir fry for a couple minutes and taste the noodles. Adjust the flavors accordingly by adding more sauce to your taste.*
6. Turn off heat & add the basil. Mix well & serve. Enjoy! *Because everyone’s taste is different, it is always a good idea to taste this dish while cooking. If the taste is bland, you can add more sauce but if you add too much sauce, it’s harder to fix. ☺️

Made spicy garlic prawns for dinner. Recipe 👇👇

3. Add the remaining ingredients and cook for another 3 minutes while stirring to ensure even seasoning coverage.

4. Lower heat to medium low until the prawns are cooked through.
5. Turn off heat & sprinkle chopped green onion prior to serving.

Enjoy with a hot bowl of steamed rice! ☺️

Buta No Kakuni - Japanese braised pork belly. Slow simmered, so that the collagen breaks down and keeps the meat moist & tender.
Wina wina recipe, as promised! 👇👇 1 pound boneless pork belly, cut in 2 inch cubes

5 Tbs soy sauce

½ cup of sake

½ cup of mirin

1 cup of Holy basil, Thai basil, or Italian basil
4 lime leaves, cut into small strips
2 Thai chili, smashed & minched
2 Green onion, chopped
2 Tbs oyster sauce
1 Tbs maggi sauce
1 Tbs regular soy sauce
1 Tbs sweet soy sauce
1 Tbs fish sauce
1 tsp rice wine
½ tsp corn starch
2 tsp sugar
2 Tbs water
½ lb spaghetti noodles
1. Cook pasta until almost cooked, drain, rinse & set aside.
2. Make stir fry sauce by adding: Oyster sauce, soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, fish sauce, and water.
3. Take ground pork, add ½ tsp corn starch, 1 tsp rice wine, 1 tsp of maggi sauce and mix. Stir fry the pork on high heat until done. Remove & set aside.
4. In a pan on high heat, add oil, minced garlic, thai chilis, shallots and fry for about 2 minutes. Add the cabbage, broccoli, shrimp, a spoonful of the sauce and fry another 2-3 minutes.
5. Add pork, spaghetti, lime leaves, 2 tsp sugar and half of the sauce. Continue to stir fry for a couple minutes and taste the noodles. Adjust the flavors accordingly by adding more sauce to your taste.*
6. Turn off heat & add the basil. Mix well, top with green onions & serve. Enjoy!

* Because everyone’s taste is different, it is always a good idea to taste this dish while cooking. If the taste is bland, you can add more sauce but if you add too much sauce, it’s harder to fix. ☺️

As promised, here's the #recipe to my tofu pizza. I made some tweaks and it tastes even more amazing!! Let me know how it turns out by tagging me in your pic! 📷🤗 Recipe for tofu pizza🍕
One box of Firm tofu - I found the boxed brand, Morinaga tofu tastes best! 🤓
Spaghetti sauce - I used my homemade, spicy turkey marinara 🍅
Shredded cheese, your choice🧀
Asparagus spear, 1-2
Arugula, handful
Diced sweet onion, 1-2 Tbs
Diced avocado
Thai chili, optional if you love spicy🌶
Cornstarch, 2 Tbs
Oil for frying
@flavorgod everything seasoning, 1 tsp

1. Take tofu and wrap in 2-3 sheets of paper towels. Let sit overnight in a strainer. If you don't have time, you can also drain by pressing out the water gently until dry enough & slice to bite sized pieces.
2. Mix cornstarch & @flavorgod. Dip tofu in mixture, shaking out excess.
3. Heat oil, med high & fry each tofu slice until browned/crispy.
4. Remove the tofu onto a cookie sheet. Layer sauce, cheese, veggies (except arugula & avocado) and broil on low for 5-10 minutes until golden brown, adding arugula & avocado in the end. Enjoy! ☺️

Aged balsamic glazed chicken. Improvising items in my kitchen, I came up with this recipe inspired by adobo chicken. The aged balsamic makes this dish extra special since it's so sweet and turns into a beautiful glaze. Here's the recipe:

1 pack of 5-6 chicken legs
1 Cup coco rico
1/4 cup Aged balsamic (I got mine from the Farmer's market that's barrel aged for 18 years)
2 Tbs red wine vinegar
1/4 cup light soy sauce
1 Tbs brown sugar
2 Thai chili, optional
3-4 cloves garlic
2 Stalks, green scallion
salt
pepper
1. Season chicken with salt & pepper. Let sit for 15 mins.
2. Blot chicken dry with paper towel and brown chicken with oil on med-high heat in a skillet. Once all sides are browned, remove and set aside.
3. Place coco rico, aged balsamic, red vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, & Thai chili into a skillet on high heat.
4. Once boiling, add chicken, cover with lid, and bring heat to medium low. Cook chicken until done (about 15-20 minutes) and remove.
5. Leave sauce in the pan and remove any scum or excess oil. Turn heat to high, stirring occasionally until it thickens like a gravy.
6. Return chicken to the skillet and toss until it becomes a glaze. Top with scallions & sprinkled sesame seeds.
Enjoy with steamed rice! ☺️
