Torching, buddy. It's a beautiful thing. I love setting up a tripod to capture long exposure shots, even though it can sometimes be taken as an overly dramatized shot of what is seen with the human eye. But in the case of fires, a long exposure can really magnify exactly what is going on during a burn: hot and heavy torching. From a mile away, it looks like a small fire with the occasional torching, but in reality it is an extremely dangerous and hot occurrence in nature that seeks to reclaim its balance with itself.
