This healthy Barramundi comes courtesy of @rekindledtimber. As in he saw the fish, pointed it out to me, showed me where to cast because I still couldn’t see it, told me when to stop winding because I managed to snag my plastic on a submerged stick. My only contribution was to ever gently pluck it free and watch it flutter six inches down, and plonk directly in front of the fish. In a blink the Barra boofed and it was on. Two feet of clear water, sandy bottom, she put on an awful fuss and I probably made some pretty stupid faces trying to stop her from heading deep into the mangroves. Honestly worth the hundreds of casts, and the dozens of snags, but if I’d known that this was going to be my only Barra of the trip I’d have smiled less.
