WIGS - WE'RE ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS YOU'RE ASKING
Q. I’ve been told I’m going to lose my hair what should I do?
A. Make an appointment for a consultation as soon as possible. It is easier to match your hair colour, texture and style while you still have your hair.
Q. How do I make an appointment?
A. Simply call the salon (061317541) and we will book you in on the next availability. The initial consultation takes one full hour with your stylist. However it is important that you arrive at least 15 minutes to fill out some simple paper work.
Q. what should I do when I begin to lose my hair?
A. Some people choose to cut off the remaining hair at the first sign of hair loss and start wearing the hairpiece. We are happy to do this for you in our private fitting room. Otherwise wait until the hair has fallen naturally, it’s a very personal choice.
Q. How long will it take for my hairpiece to arrive?
A. Normally with us within seven days. We will then contact you and arrange for your piece to be styled and cut to suit you before you take it home. We will also advise you how best to care for your piece
Q. Can I wear the hairpiece all the time?
A. Yes, but we recommend not in bed as this shortens the life span of the wig. A lot of people prefer to wear a turban or headscarf for day to day comfort. We have a wide selection of stylish and comfortable turbans.
Q. Can I bring a family member or friend to the consultation?
A. Yes of course, but we limit to two people max.
Q. How long does the wig last?
Ans. The wig/hairpiece will last approximately 6 months to a year.
Q. What do I bring?
A. If availing of the “HSE Wig Grant”, you will have to bring
* A referral letter from your doctor (available from your G.P. or local Oncology Dept)
* Your medical card
* Your credit/debit card
