Greens are full of minerals - calcium, magnesium, potassium, + more, - chlorophyll, and some seriously impressive antioxidants. One of those antioxidants is the vitamin A precursor, beta carotene. That beta carotene loves to hang out in our skin, giving us that much coveted “healthy glow.” Eating a lot of dark-leafy greens (and different types of greens) is one of my go-to health and natural beauty “secrets.” •
☝🏼This is one of my favorite ways to maximize my green intake. Dark-leafy green salad (this one was spring mix) dressed with a tahini, miso, ACV, and Italian herb dressing. Add your favorite beans, grains, and/or sweet potatoes. Mix and smush into collard greens and wrap ‘em up like a burrito! I call them Collardritos!! They’re pretty #legitdelicious for being sooooooooo dang greeeeeeeeen and it’s all #wholeplantfoods to tick off a bunch of your #dailydozen

Smoothies are an easy way to transition into a healthier lifestyle. They're amazing for getting nutrients we need and are delicious!

So many people don't know how to make a smoothie because they just assume that everything goes together and put all kinds of ingredients into smoothies that don't digest well together.
.
.
You could be eating the healthiest and best whole plant foods, but if you are consuming them with other whole plant foods that don't digest well together, it can wreak havoc on your digestion plus you won't absorb all of the wonderful nutrients in the foods.
.
.
An example would be spinach, almond milk, plant-based protein powder, a nut butter, chia seeds, blueberries, banana, kale, acai, and cacao. Please don't do this! .
.
Nut butters do not digest well with protein. Fruit does not digest well with nut butter or protein. There is way too much going on here for this smoothie to do its magic.
.
.
Banana is the only fruit that digests well with protein. The almond milk, chia seeds, nut butter, and protein powder is all too much together and doesn't digest well together.
.
.
So, when the smoothie doesn't taste good or make people feel good, they get frustrated and give up on smoothies. They just weren't making them right! They're missing out on so much nutrition. Don't let yourself be one of them!

Instead, keep your smoothies to eight ingredients or less. If you put nut butter in it, keep the seeds, protein powder, and fruit out of it. If you use protein powder, keep the fruit (except banana) and nut butters out of it.
.

Decide what you want your smoothie to do for you. Do you want to drink it for nutrients? Wellness? Hydration? Energy? Protein? As a snack? Every smoothie can have a purpose.

I will be creating my own smoothie line called Fit Smoothie! I'm in the process of perfecting each smoothie recipe, and each smoothie has a purpose.

I know that smoothies can be life-changing and make life easier plus better. Creating my own smoothies for people to buy will take out all of the guesswork and frustration for everyone. Smoothies are incredible, and you need them in your life!

I love the deep green color of cucumber juice 🥒 So refreshing on a hot summers day.

Cilantro lime cauliflower rice, Mexican potatoes, zucchini, roasted poblanos, pintos and corn with lettuce and avocado tahini lime sauce! I ended up making tacos with this and it was freaking delicious! ❤🌮 Mexican food can be made very healthy when you make it at home. This was oil free and made with whole plant foods. I love Mexican food so so much! ❤

Vegan nachos for this pregnant mama!!! I feel so good knowing I am not feeding my growing baby inside of me any bovine growth hormones from cow breast milk (cheese, milk, etc) or meat. This is another one of my FAVS! Nacho cheese is made from potatoes, carrots, tapioca starch and spices. Vegan beef crumble is made from a combination of @traderjoes meatless crumble and crushed raw walnuts with some taco seasoning. Then top with whatever else you want! I have lettuce, tomato, black olives, avocado, and some lime squeezed all over the top!🍋 😋


Tons of protein, lots of healthy fats (this will be most of my fat for the day), and plant carbs! Yum! Who says vegan food is mushy and boring?! I eat better food now than I ever did before and it makes me feel AH-MA-ZINGGG! 😍😋

Heute gibts ein paar Infos zum Granatapfel 💖🤗 - ebenfalls eine Frucht mit hohem Anteil an Antioxidantien. Die kleinen roten Fruchtperlen wirken antiviral und sind reich an Kalium, Eisen und B-Vitaminen, sowie Vitamin C.
