Day 1️⃣ of whole 30 went great! I feel good. I am excited. Had fun with the meals. Meals were:
1️⃣:Spinach/tomato frittata topped with a slice of avocado.
2️⃣: Greek Salad with 2 hard boiled eggs.
3️⃣: Chicken Chowder.
Now I am enjoying a sparkling water with ginger, strawberries and lime. #whole30beginner #whole30approved #whole30breakfast #whole30challenge #whole30recipes

Monday Night Football, Whole30-style! Tonight we pan-fried chicken wings marinated in extra-virgin olive oil & spices with a side of baked brussel sprouts, potatoes, and Whole30-approved ranch dressing. 🤗 All that’s missing is a beer to wash it all down 😭 Day 14 is done and we are feelin’ good!

REVIEW: Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Gnocchi

First try - I was so excited to try this dish and didn’t cook gnocchi long enough (as seen in the first pic). The gnocchi was pretty giddy and not very appetizing. But all other components of the dish made up for my lack of patience!

Redo - I learned my lesson! Double cooked the gnocchi to a crispy brown (see pic 2)... and it was perfection! And I even topped the original dish off with onion and spinach. 👌🏽

I would recommend! Let the gnocchi thaw instead of cooking from frozen in water. Just use oil. Season well. And be patient with it. You won’t regret it!

@WHOLE30 BREAKFAST SAUSAGE SEASONING 🍳 stir this up, make it in bulk, and sprinkle it in as you brown up ground pork (or ground chicken, or ground turkey, or whatever!). I just make sausage crumbles with this, but you could also form into sausage patties 😋

Here’s what you need:
-1/8 c. Sea Salt (coarse is best)
-1/8 c. Rubbed Sage
-1/8 c. French Thyme
-1/8 c. Paprika (Hungarian style, sweet)
-1/8 c. Black Pepper
-1 tbsp. Cayenne
-1 tbsp. Nutmeg

Here’s what to do:
Use 2 Tbsp. seasoning per one pound of ground pork (or other meat, or even roasted veggies!). Keep seasoning in an airtight jar (recipe is enough for about 6 servings)

This APPLE SQUASH & BACON SKILLET is made using @paleorunningmomma 's Roasted Butternut Squash with Apples & Bacon recipe. If you're interested in #paleo and #whole30 recipes, she has so many good ones!
Her recipe may be slightly different, as far as seasoning and exact cooking times and amounts, etc. But, to make this:
Roast 2 cups butternut squash and 1 apple a 425 degrees
Meanwhile, cook bacon cut into squares
Once bacon is cooked add half an onion to skillet
After squash and apples have roasted about 15 minutes and bacon is cooked, add to skillet and gently mix
I seasoned with cinnamon and salt

It's a pretty sweet dish, so I really enjoy topping mine with a salty peppery over medium egg and avocado.

1 🥚 ⁣
1 cup diced or sliced 🍠 ⁣
2 stalks chopped green onion⁣
2 oz baby spinach ⁣
1/3 🥑 ⁣
2 oz wild salmon, baked ⁣


1 tbsp EVOO⁣
@traderjoes Everything But The Bagel Seasoning ⁣
Salt & Pepper⁣
Garlic Powder ⁣



1️⃣ Heat olive oil in a medium sized pan on medium heat. Add sweet potato and sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder. ⁣
2️⃣ When sweet potato starts to brown, add green onions and cook for 3-5 minutes⁣
3️⃣ When onions have shriveled and sweet potatoes are cooked, add spinach and stir. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until spinach has wilted. ⁣
4️⃣ Dump veggies on to plate with paper towel, spray pan if needed and cook egg to your preference. ⁣
5️⃣ Pat veggies dry and transfer to dry, clean plate. Add salmon, top with egg and avocado. Sprinkle EBTB seasoning on top. ⁣
6️⃣ Enjoy 😉 ⁣
