Bel Tine Ball Pt. 2
The opening night of the ball had been everything I expected. Serenia out did herself yet again. The entire ballroom was decorated elegantly and she had anticipated everyone's needs by providing every food and drink available. Gesean had surprised her once again with another gift, a beautiful rose crown. Reminding me that although I'm no longer the Daughter-heir, I am still a queen in his eyes. The man never ceased to amaze me. We spent the night dancing from one end of the ballroom to another, enjoying our limited time together before he returned to the Black Tower. Spending time in such a grand ballroom had made me slightly homesick. Even though I didn't miss being Daughter-heir, I have missed court life and the delicacies life has to offer. "The wheel weaves as the wheel wills," I reminded myself. The Pattern had woven me here, tied to these people for a specific reason and if my amber eyes aren't enough proof of that, nothing will be.
