I put together a few “busy bags” for my girls to keep them busy on road trips. We’ll be doing lots of camping this summer and I wanted something to keep them entertained in the car besides an IPad (I have nothing against parents using an IPad, I just personally prefer it as a last resort!)
I bought a bunch of zippered pouches and each one will contain a new activity. I also bought a couple travel trays that sit on the girls laps and buckle behind their car seats so they can rest their toys and snacks on them.
The busy bag pouches I’ve made so far contain whiffle balls and pipe cleaners, an I Spy bag with rice and lots of little items to find, a pouch full of mixed random items that surprisingly keep the girls busy for awhile, a magnetic fishing rod and magnetic sea life animals and other magnetic items, finger puppets, pipe cleaners and beads for making bracelets, animal lacing boards and a Melissa and Doug water painting book!!
Some of these busy bags are great for fine motor skills, some encourage their imagination, and some just keep them entertained 😁🤞🏼
