Doors are easily some of my favorite subjects to photograph during my travels. Each door tells a different story of depth, connection, and community. The door symbolizes our ever-flowing journey to and from one another. All around the globe, there are billions of footpaths, city streets, staircases, and stoops, with each one of them leading to a door. The door pulses with a powerful purpose. The door, much like the heart, represents the block but also the permission, the protection but also the invitation, the privacy but also the fellowship. When we find balance between the heart's polarities, we never find ourselves slamming the door shut with rage, or flinging it open in desperation. We are able to access a space of gentle opening and closing, whenever it's best suited for us in that moment. And it is such a pleasure being able to come back to this lesson regardless of which door I stand before.
Where is your favorite door? I found this beauty in the tiny village of Baden, Switzerland. 🚪✨
