What I wore to work today on the day that my 6th graders began turning into 7th graders...
I'm 100% in love with the Kalle Shirtdress from @closetcase.patterns ! I made this washed silk version as a tester and I honestly wear it at least once a week, sometimes more. The silk is brilliant because I can tie up the side or tuck the dress in and it looks like a shirt without tons of extra fabric billowing out. Silk came from @coloradofabrics and then I used soda ash to sand wash it myself. It gets thrown in the washing machine now, because you can do that with silk. And sometimes I'll hang dry it and sometimes I'll throw it in the washing machine and every time it comes out perfect.
Wearing it with a pair of Emerson Crop Pants from @truebias that I've not shown you either. These are in a wool suiting from @moodfabrics and i LOVE them. I call them my fancy lady pants. For when I need to LOOK professional. I do wish the rise was higher on these. I rarely wear anything this low rise anymore, it's just not my jam. I'll definitely add some to the rise for my next pair.
And classic black @dansko teacher/doctor/nurse/chef/grandma shoes. Because, duh, I'm 100% a grandma.
