Yesterday, heaven gained the most precious angel of all.
My heart my not feel complete waking up this morning, my tears will continue to fall as I try and process, but I know you're in heaven looking down on all of us + proud of the amazing family you and Grandma created.
This picture explains our relationship:
This picture was taken at my wedding as he split time during the father/daughter dance with my Dad. His feet were aching him + we were just swaying a couple inches side to side, but half way through he leans in and says, "Sammy, I may not be able to dance like I used to, but watch this ..." (spins me around & dips me a little) then says, "see Sammy, I still got a little left in me ... If only you could see how I used to dance." He ended the dance giving me a kiss + tears in both of our eyes truly cherishing how precious this dance was to us.
Gramps, you are one heck of an influential man + I'm grateful for all the life lessons, words of encouragement, kisses, famous Grandpa waves, rides on my pink moped together, rides in the bucket of your tractor, supporting all of us grand kids at millions of sporting events + most importantly - the stories you shared about how much over 60+ years you and Grandma LOVED each other, even when you didn't have anything to your name - your love and faith remained.
I love you, Gramps. #teamheartfitness
