In November of 2016 I was 5 months postpartum and I finally decided I couldn’t deal with my depression anymore. Ever since I had my youngest I was drained physically and mentally, I wasn’t taking care of myself and I felt awful about how I looked and felt. So I decided to start doing yoga and it saved me! When I started doing something for myself I became better in my overall life. It wasn’t over night, but day by day I crawled out of the hole I had put myself in as a mom of 2.
Throughout 2017 I stuck with yoga and eating better, but something was still missing. I had lost about 10 lbs, but I still wasn’t happy with where I was. It was in mid October of last year I was invited to do a 2 week Challenge group and I thought “why not?” so I agreed and signed up. I commited and I haven’t stopped since! I am now down another 5 lbs and more toned than I have been since my teens, but I have also gained self confidence, self worth, became a better mom and wife, became closer with family, made friends I never would of known, found my purpose, have been able to break through my social anxiety (it’s still there, but not like it was!), and I am proud of myself for how far I have came!
The only thing I regret is not doing it sooner.
I am proof that…
-A mom of 2 crazy active boys can still do something for herself, -even with everything that’s always going on you can still make time for a workout every day,
-you can eat healthy with picky toddlers in the house, -you can look and feel confident after children,
-and that when you make a real commitment to yourself you can do anything!
Don’t regret not making yourself a priority sooner.
If you would like me to help you get unstuck from where you are, send me a message or comment that you’re ready. You deserve to be the best you can be.
