Anyone who follows this calisthenics BEAST knows what he can do on a pull-up bar, so it’s safe to say this one was challenging!

We alternated exercises doing half Bodyweight, and half Bodybuilding, and was a solid workout for both of us! It’s so important to implement different training styles into your life and challenge your body🙌🏼

1.) Weighted Pull-up/Bodyweight Pull-up Superset
• 3x6 Weighted Wide Grip Pull-ups, Drop the weight and do neutral grip pull-ups to failure

2.) Bodyweight Rows
• 4x10-12
-
3.) T-Bar Row/Plate Loaded Row Superset
• 3x12-15
• Superset these two exercises for 3 sets
• Keep your elbows flared when pulling on the T-Bar to focus the squeeze on your upper back
• Pull towards your hip to target your lower lats on the plate loaded row

4.) Rope Straight Arm Lat Pulldowns
• 7x12
• Take no rest on these, pump the muscles full of as much blood as possible to finish the routine

Everybody loves giving all the attention to the Quads when working legs, but tend to neglect the Glutes and Hammies! Especially my guys out there, well here is a killer Superset that hits both🙌🏼

1.) Sumo Dumbbell Squats
•4x12-15 (Heavy)
•Turn your toes out and place your feet out wide, driving through your heels.
•Finish by squeezing your Glutes at the top, and control the eccentric portion of the rep to keep that tension on the muscles!

2.) Stiff Leg Dumbbell Deadlifts
•12 Reps (3 partial, 1 Full)
• Break at the hips, shoot your butt back, and keep that lower back straight!
•Slow eccentric, keep a lot of tension on those Hammies, and drive up through your heels, finishing by squeezing your Glutes at the top!
•Complete this Superset 4 times and you’ll feel it🤙🏼

Pump the muscles full of blood FST-7 style to warm up
• Standing Hamstring Curl
7 Sets of 25
If your gym doesn’t have a standing machine, do it seated or lying
• Plate Loaded Front Squat
20,15,12,10,8
Add weight each set to where you are almost hitting failure at each rep range and, if your ankle mobility allows, try to hit full depth on each rep
• Isolated Leg Press
4 Sets of 12 each leg
Control the weight on the way down, explode up and drive through your heel, squeezing at the top
• Barbell/Smith Machine Lunge
6 Sets of 15 each leg
Focusing on quads here so keep your front heel close to where your knee is close to traveling over your toe at the bottom...Control the weight on the way down and explode up through your heel

I saw @smith.julian doing these and I had to try them out!
•Place feet inside shoulder width
•Set the safety racks at parallel depth
•Control the weight on the way down with 3 second negatives
•Touch the rack with the bar and let it rest there for a half a second to take all the momentum out of the bottom of your squat
•Explode up and squeeze at the top

After working with @geekamd I realized that my body weight exercises needed a lot of work😬

Pistol Squats require great core engagement and stability! Using the Smith Machine’s fixed range of motion helps get your legs used to the movement without having to use as much of your core
-
•Put your feet together slightly out in front of you so that at full depth, your heels still stay flat on the ground
•Squat down to your full range of motion while keeping your other leg completely off of the ground
•Drive up through your heel and reach full extension
•Although it is not required, I like to bring my other foot back behind me on the way to full extension

Isolated Stability/Body Weight leg exercises can really help bring up your other lifts because each leg is having to put in equal amount of work, and the core engagement is next level! If you don’t believe me try it for yourself 🤙🏼
