Resting for a few minutes, you take the time to reflect on the day. Only one more portage to go now, the days efforts having paid off with several sightings of Moose, Beaver, Eagle and a Bear. Digging into your food pack for some late day calories, the sound of the rapids soothing your soul. You begin to realize what this area is all about. How the patchwork of lakes and rivers connects the land in such intricate ways. Tomorrow the large lakes will appear. Gone will be the winding creeks, the rushing rapids and the small campsites. Replaced with large vistas and big waves. This land has many sides....the land of Woodland Caribou Provincial Park.
Thanks to @joerobinetbushcraft and @myselfreliance for taking the time to snap this shot.
