Hello my nature yogis. Today's pose for our #lybnaturelove will be VRKASANA, tree pose. I wanted to find a beautiful tree to practice this pose by, but ... as I drove by these sun flowers I got inspired! Moving on from Tadasana which we practiced yesterday, #vrkasana is another essential standing pose to master in your practice. Ground yourself through your standing foot by lifting the toes and extending them across the #earth. Lifting the bent leg place the heal against the upper inner thigh and allow the hips to fall in line with each other. Release the flesh of the bent thigh towards the knee and lift both sides of the trunk from the pelvis to the arm pits opening the chest. Stretch the arms up towards the sky allowing the elbows to come towards each other as the hands guide the body upwards. Keep the shoulders grounded with the shoulder blades moving in towards the body. Moving the attention inwards follow the Rhythm of the breath allowing the pose to steady you. This is a fantastic pose to practice finding balance. If you struggle try keeping a steady soft gaze ahead of you. You can also practice with the bent leg's heal on the standing legs ankle and the hands in prayer on your heart space. Practice consciously, practice safely and breathe!
