Im putting on the COACH tee again for this week's #JDISUNDAY. We meeting up for 904AM at Holden Center.

What's the gameplan..!? Easy Run with Strides (~ 5 or 10K).
.
Easy Days Have to Be Easy. The key thing to remember while your running on easy days is that your actively recovering. It's a skill every athletes need to learn.
.
Why incorporate strides..!? Strides are a 20-30 secs burst usually done at 5K race pace. We perform them on a flat surface towards the end of our run allowing ourselves 60-90 secs in between each strides. The strides will keep your mind and body sharp. You'll simply feel better and sharper for next week's hard workouts.

Posting this after seeing a friend post that she felt like a bit of a failure from her current running injury (you so haven't - you're inspiring us all everyday @georgie_trytotri !).Have really tried to take a positive mindset this week while I haven't been able to run and remember this gem! It's been a weird week, you don't realise how much Running love has taken hold of you until it's taken away but I've cycled, swum and done a lot of much needed strength and conditioning work (and gotten lots of sleep!!) and feeling good for it. Onwards and upwards (and back to it 🀞🀞🀞)!! Sending positive vibes to all my fellow injured friends! πŸ“·: @likethewindmag .
