I had a killer back workout tonight. Def a late one but solid regardless. I’ve been actually sticking with the 5-3-1 training protocol and finally starting to do some programming for powerlifting. Tonight I hit a PR of 570x11 reps conventional. The app says I was supposed to do 567 but I don’t have 1 pound weights so I just went to 570. So far I’m sore as fuck but loving this training. Been keeping the volume low but intensity is balls out! Other back movements are being recorded so I can beat them the next week. Basically I’m following some powerlifting basic programs combined with progressive overload bodybuilding techniques. Bench day today and managed to hit the 6 reps on the final lift of the 5/3/1 to get the cycle pb im still struggling with my shoulder but I have found that shifting my elbows back slightly takes the pressure away from the pain area. First set of 95kg 3x10, last set was a grinder. This is definitley a PR volume wise, programming on point lately! Programming becomes increasingly more important once you start your intermediate lifting phase. In this intermediate phase you simply cant increase the weights on a weekly basis, you have to build up volume gradually and go for quality reps. Training the correct movement pattern is how you get the most bang for your buck. #fitdutchies

Backsquats on the main page. Did that yesterday so I skipped it. Instead my roadwork for 37 minutes at pace 9.9 and delts and triceps . Did some rehab on the time I got over along with some stretching. It is the deload week so taking it easy were I can.
