I’ve treated a lot of fussy kids in my many years practicing as a Naturopath. Often fussy kids have either very restricted diets (with little variety) or only desired foods offering little nourishment. This ultimately results in nutritional deficiencies which further contributes to their lack of desire for wholesome foods. It really is a catch twenty-two.

I created this healthier version of Tiny Teddies when my kids were little and it's still one of their favourite recipes. Though I'm really glad they no longer require the teddy shapes (those tiny cookie cutters give me nightmares) 🤣🤣. These days I take easy way and simply roll the dough into logs and slice it!

This recipe is by Georgia from @wellnourished , who quickly became one of my kitchen idols once I became a mum. Her advice on living a healthy life and recipes are so practical - I’m so glad I found her Facebook page! Anyhoo, I made the filling for this yesterday when I had a bit of time and whipped up the mash tonight. I really enjoyed it on this rainy night but sadly my kids strongly disagreed...and as one has been intermittently sobbing since I picked her up (skipping your nap will do that to you, little miss!) I decided to choose my battles and gave them some leftover pasta instead.

Ok so I know this looks weird, but hear me out 😂. Strawberry Greek yogurt, chia seeds, & spirulina powder=superfood snack with 16.03 g of protein. Not bad!
Spirulina has a million health benefits, but I will say you need mask that flavor haha. It’s so good for you and I swear, I put it in strawberry Greek yogurt and genuinely couldn’t taste it. Kinda like when you sneak spinach into a smoothie. 🤗

Muesli is the only cereal Lewis will eat. He created, 'A Mix'.....toasted muesli, greek yoghurt, frozen blueberries and cinnamon, all mixed together (hence the name 😀) Now little Patrick is starting to discover it too!
Muesli costs a fortune, especially when you go through nearly 3 boxes per week. So I decided to try making my own! I found a recipe for, Nourishing Toasted Muesli @wellnourished. I had to substitute a couple of ingredients, because I didn't have what was recommended.........but the result was still really delicious.
