What happened yesterday – what happened five minutes ago – is the past. We have the power to reignite and restart whenever we like. So why not do it right now?🍃

One of my biggest setbacks (that I continue to struggle with) is learning how to move forward even when I feel like I mess up. I attribute this to be one of my greatest strengths 💪🏻because I know that I have put a lot of hard work into changing my own mindset to be geared towards this one. And to be honest it has completely changed me life. Let me give you some conrete examples⬇️

Example #1: when I felt super depressed I was in a BALL of negativity. 😞I was constantly thinking about what I did wrong, how hard it felt to change my habits and my perception of the world, etc. Adopting the mindset that at any moment I could start working to change my life around, helped me break free of the limiting mindset and ultimately start my path to see a #StrongerSelf within me✨

Example #2: I have not been perfect going to the gym. Over the years I have skipped days when I didn’t need to. I could have trained harder. I could have ate better. But here is the solid truth that I had to learn
❌YOU CAN’T CHANGE THE PAST ❌
You CAN change the future, you CAN act on what you have right now, and you most certainly CAN change your perception of the past. 😏Maybe your mistakes are lessons to teach you to grow. Maybe this is a moment, right here, right now, where you start making changes in your life.🤔

This mindset takes a long time to adapt. 📈Lots of effort. No quick fixes. But this mindset literally saved my life. I hope I can shed some light ✨into a way of thinking that can help change your life too.

Some of the most valuable lessons I have ever learned came from failing at something. But the key 🔑 is picking yourself back up after you fail at something, making a plan and executing it perfectly the next time around. Don’t give up when the pace seems slow because you might succeed with another blow. Use the three D’s determination, dedication and discipline.

Great first run out with these legends @nomads7s elite women’s squad. Loaded with premiership and internationally capped players, I was spoilt for choice in the selection process (thank you Crumpy you treat me so well).... after an undefeated day and not conceding any points the ladies went down in a tough final to @scimitarstorm . So many positives to take on board as this squad builds its chemistry and grows into a unit. On the other side of the cards the men after topping their group went down in the semi finals to eventual tournament winners @apache7s . Still more positives and learning coming out of this one as well I can’t wait for the Sport Science team to get all the game footage and GPS data across it’s going to be a full week of analysis before @bournemouth7s next weekend. (Facts: if you wanna look massive in pics, stand next to your smallest athlete 😉 oye Syds). Thanks once again to @proteindynamix @eat_yumm @subway @exhibit1clothing @staxxbar

Don’t fall into the trap of “the more weight I push, the stronger I get” while this is true, it is only a part of the muscle and strength growing process. Next time you hit the weight room, instead of focusing on pushing the weight up and down, focus on each and every muscle fiber that is helping you lift that weight. This will improve your MMC or mind muscle connection, improve your form, and make you an overall better lifter. Here I’m doing a zottman curl, going lower on weight and focusing on each muscle that’s activated in my biceps during the motion. Also peep my fake tat on the inside of my arm 😂
