I had to dig pretty deep to find this before photo! 😬
I was always kind of strategic with photos when I was overweight-I tried to keep my poses as "flattering" as possible, I tried to "suck in" and I just deleted pictures as soon as I saw them after a night out. Sure, I didn't love seeing myself in photos, but I was a confident girl who was never picked on because of her weight...I knew I was "big" and I really didn't let it get to me. -
I am definitely still the same girl with the same outgoing personality, but I now have a real zest for life, I am way less self conscious, I have more energy, I can buy "normal" clothes, I am strong, I am fit and I am truly happy. -
Sure I still have my moments when I feel chubby, flabby and heavy but pictures like this put everything in perspective. This is achievable for every single one of you! There are no quick fixes or magic products that will get these results. It takes plenty of exercise, good nutrition, constant motivation and a willingness to put in the hard yards in order to see change.

I started this journey into 2010 at 40 years old because the doctor forced me to go on blood pressure medication. I begged him not to as I had already lost 10 pounds and I promise to lose more, but he felt that I wouldn't lose the weight. He told me that I was fat and I have been fat for a long time and that most people don't lose the weight. I was determined to get off the blood pressure medication as many of my family members digested way too many pills several times a day. My motivation was not to become another statistic. Through consisting exercise and a swift change in diet, I'm proud to say 2 1/2 years later, I had lost 128 pounds. I decided to have skin removal surgery. Just when I thought my weight loss journey was over, it had only just begun. I'm very open and candid with my followers about the twist and turns of my journey and I let them know that everyone goes through ups and downs and it isn't easy, but it is possible at any age, any cultural background, and any socioeconomic group. Through honesty and a little humor I let my followers know that actual health and fitness isn't just about your body. It's about your heart and your mind is well.
