Extremely late but it's still Monday therefore I have to post a little #motivationmonday novel! This is also a little #throwback to February when I was blessed to be photographed by the AMAZING @richardjuliolv for the May issue of @healthmagazine it was seriously one of the best days of my life. I felt so special that day while getting my hair and makeup done by the beautiful @makeupinthe702 and telling her all about my journey. Which made me realize, I am my own motivation. There is no one quote, person, or goal that keeps me motivated. Just the knowledge and love within myself to remember every day that I deserve the best and obesity wasn't it. Obesity kept me from living all of my teens and most if my 20s. I refuse to let it have any more of my timeπŸ™…πŸ»β€β™€οΈ. Of course my family πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ inspires me to be healthy and happy but in the end it all comes down to one's self. No one will do this for us. For instance, If you see an adorable purseπŸ‘œ (or other material itemπŸ‘™πŸ•ΆπŸ‘”πŸš—πŸ›₯πŸπŸ‘ πŸ‘’πŸ’) at a store and you have the money to get it right now, this very instance. Are you gonna go get it off the shelf buy it and be happy or are you gonna go home and tell your significant other, your kids, co-workers, or your best friends about this awesome bag and how good you would look and feel with it hanging on your shoulder. Talking about it or thinking about it everyday with no real intention of going back to get it. What's the point?! Why waste your time wishing and wanting when you are fully capable right this moment to get that bag!?!?!? Switch the word bag with health. It seems much more complex but it's not. You have all you need to start changing your life. It doesn't matter if you don't have enough money to eat healthy or can't afford a gym membership. The free app @myfitnesspal was my savior. Track your calories, calories in vs calories out. Go for a walk around your block, go swimming, do jumping jacks during commercials ANYTHING!!!! Once we give up the excuses and start making a game plan, every thing will fall into place. I promise. I hope you guys know that I'm always here and will help with whatever I can. I just want you all to know you are capable and worthy.πŸ’–

One of the reasons I havent posted about my weight is that I have reached that dreaded point...yes the plateau!! It's common to get to this point but I am having hard time breaking away from it. Last time I was at this point when I weighed 213-217 lbs.
The good thing is that my body has changed in the past 2/3 months but my weight has almost been the same. I can still gain easily (which isnt a shocker) but getting rid is always hard. I am going to try to keep going and not be #sad and #disappointed with the #weightlossplateau
But just to let all the people who are out there going through this, this #roadblock happens and experts agree that these plateaus are nothing unusual. I just have to figure out what works for me and beat this plateaus!!! Fatman rises out *mic drop*

I would never have thought I could change the way I think, the way I live my life and the person I wanted to be! I can't believe how far Iv come. From a girl who consumed her mind with guilt and fear, scared of starting just to fail when I just needed to realise I am in control of my mind. I can now say I wake up everyday thinking of the healthy lifestyle I'm going to live, what delicious healthy meal I'm going to eat because that what I choose, its not a constant battle anymore this isn't a diet, or a short term thing this is my life and this is the way I want to live it even if it takes me years to be at my ideal weight it doesn't matter anymore, if I drink to much alcohol or eat the bag of chips Iv been craving it does not matter! Because I know tomorrow is a new day and it's not a battle on if I'm going to continue. Everyone needs to know there mind is the biggest battle in weight loss once you teach yourself to stop being so god damn hard on yourself you will feel truly feel happy with the decisions you make, this isn't about the number on the scale or being skinny, I want a healthy, happy life with the joy of fitness and adventure so why would I give up on what I want. Girls, if the scale goes up next week, shrug it off! If you eat to much or don't work out. Shrug it off! Anyone else sit there and just plan a whole cheat meal in your head? You're like "screw it, I'mma eat all the bad foods in one sitting because YOLO" and you plan it out, say you'll workout hard tomorrow to make up for it, or eat only lettuce for the next two days. I did this earlier today. This egg fast is tough especially because every single​ time I go outside (which is a lot because of work) I smell someone grilling burgers (yaay memorial day weekend). So I decided screw it, I'm gonna get burger king. I planned to get it after my last sit, no one would know and I would post on Instagram as if nothing happened. But at my last sit I slowly came to my senses...no one would know except MY BODY! I'd feel horrible afterwards physically and mentally like I always do, just for that minute of satisfaction. So, I went straight home, grabbed more water, and then brushed my teeth so I won't crave anything else for the rest of the night. #DontCheatYourself

Raise your hand if you're guilty of saying things like "one more piece of cake won't kill me" or "I'll start on Monday" πŸ™ŒπŸ» I'm throwing 2 hands up because I'm guilty AF. We get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of life that we forget 2 really important things. #1 being that there is no promise of our time here on earth. We constantly put things off as if were going to live forever or figure we'll "Deal with that when it becomes an issue" and sometimes it's too late which falls into #2 being that we are so harmful and hateful to the ONE SINGLE thing in this world that is fully outright ours, our body We are not our job titles or our children's achievements, the $ in our bank accounts or our ranking on the social status. We are absolutely nothing without our health. Mental health included. Stop feeding your body junk because it tastes/feel good. We need to get to the root of why these things make us feel so good. Β°

Eat to fuel your body, not to suppress emotions (guiltyπŸ˜”), love yourself and all of your imperfections. Utilize each day as if it were your last. Do something to get your heart pumping. Smile. Drink plenty of water. You are you and no one else in the world has that power. Embrace it. Β°

Three day weekend = 3 days FULL of temptations! This is my biggest struggle at the moment. Determined not to let the weekends food/drink choices ruin my great week! Good luck everyone!

One of my biggest motivations is the after selfie! I can't wait to reach my goal, post that side by side pic, look at myself with a big smile, and say "I did the damn thing!!" πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ™Œ .

I never wanted anything from this page other than to give people who are struggling hope and knowledge to help them along their journey. I always keep my page raw. I am human, life isn't always sunshine and perfectly angled mirror selfies. Life is filled with ups and downs, and I want you guys to see that it's ok to have bad days while working towards your goal. You don't have to give up because of an off day. Or even an off week!
I like to think of my struggles like waves in the ocean. Sometimes the bad stuff builds and builds but I know eventually it's going to come down. Ride those negative thoughts (waves) out. For instance, if you're stressed out about something and are about to grab some cookies or chips just to feel better, wait 10-20 minutes and see if you still "have to have" that snack. Take a walk, do breathing exercises, meditate...anything to redirect those intense negative thoughts and emotions into something positive.
It's easier said that done, trust me πŸ™„ but it really does help.
Anyways, I'll stop blabbering πŸ˜‚
I just hope y'all know I'm proud of all of you. Even if you haven't started your journey, you're taking steps in the right direction by reading this/following me/searching for inspiration. Keep up the good work babezπŸ’“
