I'd like to introduce you to my friend Lexi (@fatgirlfedup). She's lost a whopping 298lbs 👇 since 1/1/16 😱! Needles to say, she's incredibly motivating, and if you're not following her already, you should be 💪
I asked her to write a bit about her story for this posts, and here's what she had to say:

My name is Lexi & if you're new to my journey last year I set a New Years Resolution to lose weight. At the time I weighed 485lbs & was a prisoner in my own body. I hated cooking, loved anything fried, was an emotional eater, and didnt take care of my health.
The first month I cooked every single meal, & I didnt eat out, have a cheat meal, gave up alcohol/soda, & worked out 5x a week on the elliptical for just 30 minutes, I took the foods I loved and made healthier versions. I stopped the fried foods & started eating lean meats with more veggies. I started meal prepping to stay on track at work, and saying NO to the temptations around me. Everytime I said NO, it got easier.
No surgery, trainer, meal plan, or anything like that. I counted calories, learned how to cook healthy foods, worked out, and fell in love with taking care of myself. I realized after that first month it wasnt a diet, but a lifestyle change.
There is no magic pill, diet, or secret. Focus on eating healthy and moving more - the weight will take care of itself & your body will thank you! Start today!"
