Knee jump to box jump ... with just body weight and then ... with an 8kg kettle bell ... I just did this for 10-15 mins, I stopped counting and just enjoyed jumping to my music, this is from last nights after work gym sesh.. can’t wait to go to the gym again today; I forgot how therapeutic working out is, use bad vibes or moods to fuel an intense and challenging workout by the end of it surely you’ll feel at least a bit better than when you walked in!

Speed box squat and DB box squat jumps
I’ve been training a lot this year on going as fast as possible from a dead stop. The results have been great for my squat, deadlift and ultimately throwing speed.
As always, to really get the most out of a box squat, allow your momentum to completely stop on the box. Day 59/80: Leg Day and oh my gosh were my legs feeling it by the end of this workout- if you are looking for a good leg workout- THIS IS IT! I had to really push myself on the last couple moves to get through the 10 reps each, my legs were getting a little shaky and quads were burning- and I kept going, I finished what I started! It was especially great to get it done first thing this morning before I took road trip (see my stories for more details)! .

Sculpting my legs has been the hardest for me, but I’m seeing small improvements as I am able to lift heavier. This gives me the motivation I need each week. I guess that’s why they say fitness isn't a destination, but a journey. There are always areas where you can get better. Whether it’s lifting heavier, squatting lower, lunging deeper, or jumping higher. Always be looking for ways to be better than the last time

#theory "when doing squats it makes no sense to go below the 90 degree angle as an athlete." - No #asstograss. When jumping with basketball or volleyball you'll never go lower than 90 degrees when jumping or defense being in a defensive position. Recently I've been following @fbaftermath on YouTube and he has some good exercises for being a better athlete or working on your explosiveness. .

Today it was #legday and what a day it was.. #boxsquat 70kg / 154lbs and #weightedjumps #kettlebell 32kg/72lbs. Working on your #explosiveness is simply moving something from nothing to as fast as possible. When working on my #verticaljump i believe I need to motions close to game-like situations.

Now am no expert when it comes to fitness but I love learning new things and feeling more confident about doing them on my own...I'm also learning how much I can push myself every time I do a workout!
